Apprentice Interactive Workshop

The Ohio Apprentice Interactive Workshop will be on the road again Sunday August 4. Instructors Cynthia Lohman and Diana Walter will be heading to Walman Optical Lab in Toledo to guide emerging apprentice opticians in building their knowledge and skills with lecture and hands-on instruction. The laboratory setting will also give students an insider view to the behind the scenes workings of a lab, in addition to the curriculum being taught. Topics being discussed at the workshop include eye anatomy, optical formula, correct fitting techniques for lenses and frames in addition to using the lensometer. Response to the workshops over the past two years has been an affirmation that apprentices are wanting and needing extra guidance to becoming the most successful professionals possible.
